ISAs: everything you need to know and more!

What is an ISA?

An ISA – Individual Savings Account – is a tax-free savings option available to any person in the UK. Regardless of how much you want, or are able, to save, you can open an ISA and benefit from savings free of tax up to a value of £15,240 for the fiscal year 2016/17.

ISAs allow for flexibility, enabling savers to use their allowance for savings through either a cash ISA, stocks and shares ISAs, ‘innovative finance’ (peer-to-peer lending) ISAs or a Help-To-Buy ISA, or a combination of all four.
